February News!
February 1st was World Read Aloud Day. A lot of classes can to the Information Center and we celebrated with some read alouds and activities. Out theme this year was “Change the world! Choose Kind!” To keep the reading aloud momentum going, we have a lot of picture books and digital audiobooks you can check out. The Goffstown Public Library also has a few digital services that allow you to check out audiobooks. If you are interested in learning more, come see us!

February Makerspace Challenges: Make your own Valentines and Geometric Hearts!

During the month of February, we are sponsoring a Black History Month Research Challenge! Come check out our display in the Biography Section and learn more about some powerful leaders. The research challenge is due at the end of the month. If you enter, you could win a prize!


PACK THE GYM: STAFF VS. STUDENTS BASKETBALL GAME
Student Government will be hosting the first annual "Pack the Gym" - student vs. staff basketball game on Thursday March 8th at 3:10 until 5:00 in the MVMS gym. Come pack the gym and cheer on your classmates and MVMS staff! The cost of the event is $3. A signed permission slip will be collected prior to the event in order to attend. Pack the Gym t-shirts will be sold during lunches. At half time, there will be half-court shot contest! For $1, you can try to make a half-court shot and win “Principal for a Day” including a lunch with five of your friends. Raffle tickets will be sold and prizes include: $20 Xbox Gift Card, $20 iTunes Gift Card, $20 Chunky’s Gift Card!


MVMS SPRING SPORTS ON-LINE REGISTRATION NOW OPEN
Spring Sports registration is now open on-line.

Baseball, Softball and Spring Track try-out dates will be announced as soon as the weather and field conditions allow. Registration must be completed on line by March 16th.

The teams begin practicing on March 26th.

GOFFSTOWN JR. BASEBALL CHALLENGER DIVISION
After an incredibly successful inaugural season, Goffstown Jr. Baseball is happy to announce the return of the Challenger Division for our 2018 season! The Challenger Division of Little League is a program for developmentally and physically challenged youth, helping them to enjoy the full benefits of Little League participation in an athletic environment structured to their abilities. This division will accommodate players ages 4-12, as long as they are enrolled in school.

GOFFSTOWN PARKS & RECREATION YOUTH LACROSSE
Parks & Recreation Lacrosse registration is now open. 2018 Teams this year include: Girls 10U, Girls 12U, Girls 14U, Boys 10U, Boys 12U & Boys 14U. Deadline to register for the 10U, 12U & 14U teams is 2/23/18. 8U Girls Instructional (grades 1 & 2) & 8U Boys Instructional (grades 1 & 2) Deadline to register for 8U program is 3/30/18.

We have teams for Boys & Girls in grades 1-8.
